HEY MATES

HERE YOUR ANSWER

POWER:60W

TIME TAKE= 5 HOUR

SO POWER CONSUMED IN ONE DAY= 60×5=300W

NO OF DAYS= 7

THEREFORE TOTAL POWER=300×7=2100

W=2.1Kw

1Kw=1UNISO 2.1Kw=2.1UNITS

SO COST=2.1×6=RS12.60

The required cost of electricity is Rs 6.3

Calculation:

It is given that,

The power of the electric bulb = 60 W

We have to convert it into kW

So, power of the bulb = 60/1000 kW

Amount of time the bulb was used = 5 hour

Therefore,

Total time the bulb was used in a week = 7 × 5 hours

  • = 35 hours

Now, we have to find the total amount of energy that is consumed in a week. For this, we have to apply the formula of energy.

The formula is given below:

Energy = Power × Time

  •  =  \frac{60}{1000}  \times 35

  •  =  \frac{3}{50}  \times 35

  •  =  \frac{3}{10}  \times 7

  •   = \frac{21}{10}

  •  = 2.1 \: kwh

Hence, the total energy consumed us 2.1 kWh

Now, it is given that,

Cost of per unit electricity = Rs 3

Hence, the cost of 2.1 kWh electricity = Rs 3 × 2.1

  • = Rs 6.3

So, the required cost is Rs 6.3
