Answer:

if 6 hours a day then 90hours in 15days

so the units of energy =power multipled by time

I.e 90 into 60

5400kwh energy is consumed

Hello Mate,

Given:

  • Energy of bulb = 60 Watts

  • A bulb of 60 watts works for 6 hours in one day.

To Find:

  • The units of energy consumed in 15 days.

 \huge{\red{\star}} {\blue{\underline{\huge{\textsf{Solution}}}}} \huge{\red{\star}}

We know,

Energy (E) = Power (P) x Time (T)

Substituting values in the formula we get,

=> Energy = 60 x 6

=> Energy = 360 watts/hour

Converting into kilowatts,

We know 1 watt = 1/1000 kilowatts

So 360 watts = 360/1000 kilowatts

=> 0.36 kilowatts/hour

So for one day, the device consumes 0.36 units of energy.

We need to find for 15 days,

So,

0.36 x 15

= 5.4 kilowatts/hour

  • => 5.4 units of energy is consumed in 15 days

Hope it helps:)
