The net electric flux passing out of this surface is :

Given : An electric dipole of dipole moment 2 x 10^-6 C m is enclosed by closed surface.

We know that, a dipole is made up of two opposite charges having same magnitude separated by some distance.

Let us suppose q be the magnitude of the charge

Then, total charge present inside the closed surface will be

q(enclosed) = +q + (-q) = q - q

q(enclosed) = 0

Also,

Net electric flux is given by formula,

Φ = q(enclosed) / uo

= 0 / uo

= 0

Hence, electric flux through this surface is zero
