Answer:

Energy consumed = power×time

By applying, P = V×I

= 220×10

= 2200Whr.

Energy consumed by a heater = 2200×5 = 11000Whr = 11KWh.

Energy consumed in 30 days = 11×30 = 330KWh

Cost = Unit×Cost per unit

= 330×5.20

= 1716rupees.

Given :

  • Current drawn =10 A
  • Voltage = 220 V
  • Time = 5 hr

To find :

  • Cost of using the heater

Solution :

By applying:-

→ Electric energy consumed = 2200 × 5

Electric energy consumed = 11000 Wh

11000Wh = 11KWh

→ Energy consumed in 30 days = 11 × 30

Energy consumed in 30 days = 330 KWh

We know:-

  • Cost = Unit × Cost/unit

Cost = 330 × 5.20

Cost = 1716

•°• Cost = 1716
