Given:-

  • Power rating of the heater (P) = 1500.
  • W = 1.5 kW = 1500 W.

  • Time for which the heater has operated (T) = 10 h.

To Find:-

  • Amount Of Energy Used By an Electric Heater in 10 hours.

Solution:-

We Know that

For Obtaining The Energy Consumed by the heater we will use The Expression

P= \frac{W}{T }

we also Know that

Work done = Energy consumed by the heater.

So,

power =  \frac{Energy  \: consumed  \: by  \: the \:  heater}{time}

energy \: consumed =  power \times  time

 =  > Energy \:  consumed = 1500 × 10

 =  > Energy  \: consumed = 15000 W

 =  > Energy  \: consumed = 15kWh

Hence, the energy consumed by the heater in 10 h is 15 kWh.
