• Voltage or the potential difference = 230 volts = V

Time = 1 second = t

To find :

Heat energy produced by the heater in 1 second

Heat energy = Vxlxt

Using ohms law :

V=IxR

230=1x230

i =  \frac{230}{230}

| = 1 ampere

The current passing through the heater is 1 ampere

Now using the formula:

Heat = 230x1x1

Heat = 230 Joules

The heat energy produced is equal to 230 joules
