An electric iron has a rating of 750watt 200 volts. Calculate the resistance ofits heating element.

Your answer is --

Given, power P = 750W

voltage = 200V

Now, according to formula

P = VI

=> I = P/V

=> I = 750/200

=> I = 3.75A

Now, according to ohms law

V = IR

=> 200 = 3.75 × R

=> R = 200/3.75

=> R = 53.33ohm

Hence, resistance of its heating element is 53.33ohm.

P = 750 watts.
V=200 volts
I= P/V
I=750/200
I=3.75.
R=V/I
R=200/3.75
R=20000/375
R=53.33 ohm.
