Initial reading of electric meter = 4750 kWh
Final reading of electric meter = 4930 kWh
Total energy consumed during the month = Final reading - initial reading
                                                                  = 4930 kWh - 4750 kWh
                                                                  = 180 kWh or 180 units
Cost of 1 unit               = Rs.2.50
Total cost of 180 units = 180 × Rs. 2.50
                                    = Rs.450.00
Total cost to be paid    = Rs.450.00      Ans

Final reading of the meter : 4930 kWh
Initial reading of the meter : 4750 kWh
: Final reading of the meter - Initial reading of the meter = Total energy consumed
4930 kWh - 4750 kWh = 180 kWh
1 kWh = 1 unit
180 kWh = 180 units
∴ Total Electrical energy consumed during the month = 180 units.
Cost of electric energy for 1 unit = Rs 2.50
∴Total cost for 180 units = 180 × 2 .50
= Rs 450
