An electric pole is 10m high. A Steel wire tied to the top of the pole is affixed at a point on the ground to keep the pole upright.if the wire makes an angle of 45 degree with the horizontbl through the foot of the pole,find the length of the wire.

Since cos = adjacent side / hypotenuse
=) cos45° = 10m / x
=) 1/√2 = 10m /x
=) x = 10√2 m.

hey it should be sin as u r taking perpendicular and hypotenuse

it makes the 45° angle to the horizontal so we should take base angle
mam! this is a right angled triangle.. we can take 45° on any vertex
ans will be same sir but as both cos and sin 45 have same value ur ans will go wrong if any angle except 45 is given so as per the question u should take it as sim
