Given:-

  • Speed of train ,s = 120km/h

  • Time taken ,t = 30s

To Find:-

  • Distance covered by train ,d

Solution:-

According to the Question

Firstly we change the unit here . We 'll convert the speed into m/s . So , by multiplying 5/18

:\implies s = 120×5/18

:\implies s = 33.33 m/s

Now, Calculating the distance covered by the train

  • d = st

where,

  • s denote speed
  • t denote time
  • d denote distance

Substitute the value we get

:\implies d = 33.33 × 30

:\implies d = 999.9 m 1000m

  • Hence, the distance covered by the train is approx 1000 metres or 1 kilometre.

Given :-

An  electric train is moving with a velocity of 120 km/h

To Find :-

How much distance will its cover in 30 second

Solution :-

We know that

1 km/h = 5/18 m/s

120 km/h = 120 × 5/18 = 600/18 m/s

Now

Distance = Speed × Time

Distance = 600/18 × 30

Distance = 18,000/18

Distance = 1000 m

Hence,

Distance is 1000 m
