The wire is sold in multiplier of 1 meter (m). Therefore, 1 m = 100 cm. The person need length of wire with each 85 cm long.
Let us find common multiples. LCM (lowest common multiple) of both 100 and 85 = 1700.
100 cm & 85 cm = 1700 cm.
Now, 1700 cm / 100 cm = 17 m.
Answer - He should purchase minimum length of wire = 17 m.
