An electron travelling at 5 X 10² cm/s passes through an electric field that gives it an acceleration of 10³ cm/s² acting in the direction of travel.
(i) How much time will it take for the electron to double its initial velocity?
(ii) Through what distance will the electron travel in this time?

(2)distance covered = 10^3cm = 10m
