no of protons is equal to (mass no) minus (no of neutrons)
35 minus 18 which is equal to 17.
no of protons is equal to no of electrons.
so no of electrons is equal to 17.
electronic configuration is 2,8,7.
no of valence electrons are 7.
so group no is (10 plus 7)which is equal to 17.
so the group no is 17.(representative elements)
period no is equal to no of shells
element x has 3 shells (k,l,m)
so the period no is 3.
group no is 17
period no is 3
