Given :

Mass (m) = 2000 Kg

Area (A) = 250 cm²

To Find :

The pressure exerted by elephant on ground

Solution :

The force acting normally on unit area of a surface is called pressure.

Pressure (P) = \frac{Force}{Area}

Area is given in cm² so we need to convert it into m²

Area (A) = \frac{250}{1000}

             = 0.25 m²

∴ Pressure exerted by the elephant (P) = \frac{2000 * 9.8}{0.25}

                                                                 = 78400 N/m²

Therefore, the pressure exerted by the elephant is found to be 78400 N/m²
