An elevator descends into a mine shaft at the rate of 6 meters per minute. If the decent starts from 10 m above the ground level, how long will it take to reach – 350 m.

Given,
speed 6m/min.=6m/60s=0.1m/s
Total distance to travel =10+350m=360m
And
Time=
 \frac{distance}{speed}
=
 \frac{360}  {0.1}
=3600sec=1hr.
