An elevator descends into a mineshaftat the rate of 6 m/min. If the descent starts from 10 m above the ground level, how long will it take to reach -650 m?

speed of elevator = 6m/min

descent starting = 10m above ground

required descent point = -650m

time = distance/speed

      = |650+10|m/6m/min

      = 660/6

      = 110 min
