An elevator is 25 m below ground level and it ascends at the rate of 5 m / min. Find the time taken by it to reach 50 m above the ground.
(Include statements to your answer. This question is from the integers chapter so also include the signs if they are any.)

Height of the elevator below the ground level: -25

Rate of ascending = 5m/min

Distance = 25+50=75m

Time = Distance/Rate = 75/5 = 15 min

Thus, 15 min is the answer
