Given info : An electron moving with speed 10 m/s in magnetic field 0.5 T travelled distance 3m.

To find : The motional emf produced by electron is ...

solution : induced emf is given by,

E = -dΦ/dt = -d(BA)/dt

= d(Bxl)/dt

= Bl × dx/dt

= Blv

here B = magnetic field = 0.5 T

l = travelled distance = 3m

v = speed of electron = 10 m/s

so, motional emf = 0.5 × 3 × 10 = 15 volts.

Therefore the motional emf produced by electron is 15 volts.
