My dear Vijay,

I am really very sorry to hear the news of your failure in the Final Examination. It is a matter of surprise to me how you could fail at all. You had never failed before in any examination. However, you had informed me just after the examination that you could not write satisfactory answers to a few questions in English and History.

So I thought that you might miss the First Division by a few marks. But that you would be unsuccessful in the examination was beyond my imagination. Now I think that your prolonged illness before the examination may be the root of your failure. You need not, however, be dipped in frustration. Take heart and start afresh.

If you work with attention, I am sure, you would come out successfully in the next chance. Please remember the good old saying: ‘Failures are the pillars of success’.

 Yours sincerely,

Aabha Chaudhari

Subject: Be strong; failures are part of life

Dear Raghav:

I hope this mail find you in the best of your health and spirits. I know you must be feeling depressed and sad on account of failure in examinations. Well, I would advise you to keep in mind the precept: ‘Try and try again until you succeed.’ Your failure means you did not work hard.

Well, let the past bury its dead. Focus on future now. I would suggest you to make a time-table to keep a close tab on your study time. If there is any subject that you need special care to take, I would advise you to take coaching from an expert teacher. However, there is no substitute for self-studies and hard work. I hope you are studying very hard. High grades are a must for taking admission in a high-ranking college. Give warm regards to uncle and aunt.

Ragards,

Abhishek
