Given:

Mass, m = 5 kg

Volume, V = 50 L = 0.05 m³

The relative density of cooking oil = 0.85

To Find:

The total mass of the container filled with cooking oil.

Calculation:

- The density of cooking oil, d = Relative density × Density of water

⇒ d = 0.85 × 1000 = 850 kg/m³

- Mass of cooking oil = Density × Volume

⇒ M = d × V

⇒ M = 850 × 0.05

⇒ M = 42.5 kg

- Total Mass = Mass of empty cylinder + Mass of cooking oil

⇒ Total Mass = m + M

⇒ Total Mass = 5 + 42.5

Total Mass = 47.5 kg

- So, the total mass of the container filled with cooking oil is 47.5 kg.
