An energy of 2 J is used to lift a block of 0.5 kg. How high will it rise ?

Answer:

1 joule = mgh = 0.5 × 9.8 × h = 4.9 h

so ,. h = 1 ÷ ( 4.9 ) = 0.20 metre

so height to which it will be raised is 0.20 m.
