There is the major role of women in India. She is playing a role of four-fold status-role sequences. These were her role is daughter, wife, housewife (homemaker), and mother.
The woman, whose status and role traditionally was well defined and almost fixed in the society, is now experiencing far-reaching changes. The woman in modern times is entering into certain new fields that were unknown to the woman’s sphere of role-sets. They are activating participating in social, economic, and political activities.
The women of the present generation have received higher education than the women of their preceding generation. There have been far-reaching consequences in the economic status of their families.
Role of women in the society
The modern women are inclined towards the social issues and trying hard to improve the social status of women at large.Increased awareness and education have inspired women to come out of the four walls of the home.Many women actively supported and participated in the nationalist movement and secured prominent positions and offices in administration and public life in free India.Traditionally Indian women exist because of the family and for the family.Just like their man counterpart, women are also fond of attending social functions and value her social life quite a lot.Previously, men-folk used to discourage women from leaving their households for attending social functions. Now the spread of education, especially that of women, and with that, the changing social attitudes of educated women have changed the order.The modern woman has started caring for her health, figure, cultural needs, and interests, academic pursuits, social intercourse, religious activities recreational needs, etc.

Women are considered as important and given so much respect in india.Women play an important role in the society and they are even working every where the men work.
A special Reservation is given to women to get their jobs.In india as we all know its still under developed country some reasons are that the people working only encourage their particular caste to work and provide them reservations.
So these people don't give a chance for other people to improve even though our country provides reservation system.
Women works at all the places and improving their living.Women are permitted to get jobs in other countries as well.
When compared to the last Decade today's chance of finding jobs for women has drastically increased and help them to develop.
As other countries encouraging women from several years for getting jobs but india has realized that women is also important in developing of one's country.
When compared to other countries we have much chances to find jobs for women in private sector.
