An evening spend with my grandparents essay

Answer:
An evening with my grandparents
I have always been an independent girl who has had her own share of anxiety problems . I couldn't share most of my problems with my parents because for one - they are busy and even if they miraculously listen to what I say , they just won't get me the way my grandparents do . My grandparents have always been the guiding Polaris when I couldn't find my way home. They have always been a safe haven for me and will always be . They provided me with love when I needed it the most , and I love them very much for that . Today while I lay with my head on a novel , they both come to my mind and I really start missing being with them . My grandparents live in Bihar while me along with my parents live in Delhi . I very rarely get a chance to visit them , but when I do it's one of the best times I would ever have . Today a small memory came into my mind . It was of that evening which I spent with my grandfather listening to his advice and my grandmother , who always knows the right thing to say that will make me smile whenever I am sad . But I knew that this day was different because both my grandparents - very cheerful and cheeky , were uncharacteristically silent . So I asked them what was all the silence about ? . They didn't give me a reply . They just smiled and told me not to forget them . That was when I started to become anxious . When my grandmother saw my face she soothed me and told me not to worry . At last when they were sure I could handle whatever they were going to say , they told me that this evening is going to be our last one with them because my parents want to shift to Delhi and they aren't planning to return to Bihar . I was shocked . But somewhere I knew this was going to come , so I could stop my panic from overpowering me . But then they got their happy- go - lucky smile back on their face . They told me that we were going to a carnival and that it was going to be one of a kind experience for me. I happily agreed with them . I just thought it must be one of those usual exhibition with stalls , but I was pleasantly surprised to that it was carnival with a very big ferris wheel , that kind of ferris wheel we only get to see on TV . The 3 of us did a ride on it and returned back with a big smile on our face . There was also an animal adoption centre there , where my grandparents got two little pumps. They were really cute . And to my surprise they gave a puppy to me . I knew that they would never do that because they weren't dog lovers like me , but they had still adopted it just for my sake . We had a blast of a time in the carnival and returned home late at night . This was one of my best memories . Just thinking about this makes me smile and I went down eagerly to wish them on their birthday , which falls on the same day .
