There are many examples of liquid turning into gas, and the most common example is of water(liquid) turning into water vapor(gas). When water is boiled in a container ,after reaching its boiling point i.e.100 degree Celsius, vapors are seen coming out of the container .If water is allowed to boil for some more time, then less water will be seen left in the container .
