An example of which explains conduction convection and radiation
Answers
There are 3 types of Heat Transfer, namely Conduction,Convection,Radiation.
Do study these we must understand what heat is, heat is vibration of molecules it may be passed like passing of paper around a class {where paper is heat}. When molecules vibrate they make the adjacent molecules vibrate and heat is passed on. Here no mass(matter) is passed only heat energy is passed. This is called conduction.
Dome examples are when u put icecream into a hot bowl to make it warmer, or how the stove heats up metal vessels. This mainly occurs in Solids.
In convection , its like going and giving a piece of paper to your friend.Directly mass moves and vibrates to pass heat energy. It happens in fluids(matter which can flow namely liquids and gases) in a hot vessel filled with water the water in the top areas is more hot as convection takes place the water below gets heated up travels up (as it has less density) and heats up the water in the area.eg water in a vessel. Water in sea.hot air in a room.
Radiation is like throwing a paper around the class to give it your friend.Heat energy travels in form of rays to reach destination.
Eg. Sun rays reach us from far away. These rays happen without a medium. They can happen in a vacuum or anywhere.
Hope it helps you.
