Chemical Formula of the Sucrose = C₁₂H₂₂O₁₁
Molecular Mass = 342 g.
Mass of O present in Sucrose = 176 g.
∴ 342 g of Sucrose is required to form of the 176 g of the Oxygen by the Astronaut in 1 hrs.
∴ 1 g of Sucrose is required to form of the 176/342 g of the Oxygen by the Astronaut in 1 hrs.
∴ 34 g of Sucrose is required to form of the 176/342 × 34 g = 17.49 g of the Oxygen by the Astronaut in 1 hrs.
Therefore, In 24 hrs, Amount of Oxygen Required = 17.49 × 34 g
= 594.66 g.
Hope it helps.

The reaction will be C12H22O11 +12O2 --> 12CO2 +11H2O AND THIS IS THE CORRECT ANS. not the 1st one u got. See the attachment. ☺
