An iceberg floats on fresh water with a part of it outside
savface calculate the fraction of the volume
of the iceborg which is below the water surface given

According to the Floatation principle,

v/V = density of substance/density of liquid

= 917/1000 or, 0.917

This means that 917/1000 of the ice's total volume will be above the surface of water.

So, the part below water is:

1-917/1000

= 83/1000 or, 0.083

Ans: 83/1000 of the ice's total volume will be inside the water.
