Let two cross section of the Pipe be A and B.
For Cross-section A,
∴ Diameter of cross section A = 2.5 cm.
Radius of Cross section A = 2.5/2 cm.
For Cross-section B,
∴ Diameter of cross section B = 3.5 cm.
Radius of Cross section B = 3.5/2 cm.
Using the Equation of Continuity,
∴
Hence, the ratio of the velocity of the fluid in pipe A to Pipe B is 49 : 25.
Hope it helps.
