The efficiency of heat engine is n = 1 - T2/T1

or, W / Q1 = 1 - T2/T1

T2 = Temperature of sink

T1 = Temperature of source

W = Work done

Given, Q1 = heat absorbed from the source = 6kcal

T1 = 227 + 273 = 500 K

T2 = 127 + 273 = 400 K

W/6 = 100 / 500 or W = 1.2 kcal

Thus the amount of heat converted into work is 1.2 kcal !
