An important step in science is supporting a theory or idea with data. The questions we ask help determine the type of data we collect. In the warm up, you reviewed the equation to calculate kinetic energy. What question could you ask about kinetic energy which will include the variables that affect it?

Answer:

Kinetic energy depends on m, v in the expression, 1/2xmxv²

Explanation:

we can ask how kinetic energy is changing if velocity is doubled, how kinetic energy changes if velocity changes. you can change the value of m, v in each question you ask.

The Formula for kinetic energy is  K.E= \frac{1}{2} m v2 the questions that we can ask about kinetic energy are:-

  • What will happen if the mass of the object is altered how will the kinetic energy of the object get changed in such a case?
  • What will happen if the acceleration of the object changes will the kinetic energy of the object change as well?
  • If we decrease the speed of the object in question, how will the kinetic energy respond to this?
