The judicial system in India is an Independent Judiciary. The Indian Constitution protects against the influential power-heads by providing an Independence of Judiciary. The main aspect is the separation of powers which means that the State Legislature and the executives cannot interfere with the work of the judiciary.
This allows the courts to work independently without being under the influence of the rich and powerful people or the executives of the State Legislature. This is a way of protecting the crucial Fundamental rights of the citizens and also to enforce the rule of law.
Because of the provision of an independent judiciary in the Indian judicial system, an ordinary citizen stands a chance against a politician or any high power heads. Also, the judge can give an unbiased judgment favoring the truth instead of being pressurized by the powerheads.
