The American and French revolutions had huge impacts on India unlike the common belief. These revolutions inspired the Indian Freedom Movement and its leaders. It also instilled a drive in Indian nationalist to establish a rule of the common people in India. The want for Democracy was sparked by the French revolution throughout the world and India was no different and American Revolution and its economic prowess since its Independence further pushed in Indians the drive to throw the yoke of British rule. These revolutions also affected the post-independence India as its Constitution heavily borrows ideas from these and two revolutions. With the idea of Fundamental Rights, Judicial Review and the Impeachment of the President directly coming from the American Constitution. This famous speech made by Pt.
