An inductance coil have the time constant 4 sec.
if it is cut into two equal parts and connected
parallel then new time constant of the circuit :-
(1) 4 sec (2) 2 sec (3) 1 sec (4) 0.5 sec​

Given that,

Time constant of an inductance coil is 4 seconds

To find,

New time constant of the circuit.

Solution,

When the inductors are connected in parallel, the equivalent inductance is given by :

\dfrac{1}{L}=\dfrac{1}{L_1}+\dfrac{1}{L_2}

It is same as the equivalent resistance of the resistors. The time period of an inductance coil is 4 seconds. If it is if it is cut into two equal parts and connected  parallel then new time constant of the circuit will not change. It will remain 4 seconds.
