The man responsible for coordinating services in remote Aboriginal communities says he is beginning to see improvements in living conditions.
The Federal Government has released the second six-monthly progress report on its efforts to provide essential services to Indigenous people living in 29 priority areas across Australia.
Fifteen of the communities are in the Northern Territory.
Brian Gleeson was appointed to coordinate remote Indigenous services in July last year in an effort to end an ad hoc approach.
In his inaugural report six months ago, he found that services were substandard in many Aboriginal communities.
