1) Total Number of Possible Outcomes = 98

Then, the numbers which are divisible by 8 : 8,16,24,32,49,48,56,64,72,80,88,96

Number of favourable outcomes = 12

P(E) of numbers divisible by 8 are : Number of favourable outcomes / Total number of possible outcomes.

∴ Probability = 12/98 = 6/49

2)Formula,  :

P(E') = 1 - P(E)

Number not divisible by 8 are : 98 -12 = 86

So Probability  (not divisible by 8) = 86/98 = 43/49

So answers  are : 1) Probability (divisible by 8) =  6/49

And

2) Probability (not divisible by 8) = 43/49
