An integer is such that one third of the next integer is at least 2 more than one fourth of the previous integer .find the smallest value of the integer

let the integer=x
1/3(x+1)=2+1/4(x-1)
1/3x+1/3=2+1/4x+1/4
1/3x-1/4x=2-1/4-1/3
4x-3x/12=6-4-3/12
x/12= -1/12
x= -1
