To find :

  • The integer.

Given :

  • An integer when divided by -7 gives 12.

Solution :

Let the number be x

 \bf \implies \dfrac{x}{ - 7} = 12 \\ \\ \bf \implies x = 12 \times ( - 7) \\ \\ \bf \implies x = - 84

Therefore, The integer is 84.

Verification :-

\bf \implies \dfrac{x}{ - 7} = 12 \\ \\ \implies \bf \dfrac{ - 84}{ - 7} = 12 \\ \\ \bf \implies \dfrac{ \cancel{ - 84}}{ \cancel{- 7}} = 12 \\ \\ \bf \implies 12 = 12 \\ \\ \bf LHS = RHS \\ \\ \bf Hence, Verified.
