Interviewer: We are extremely honored today to have amidst us Mr. Upen Mehta, the famous nutritionist. He will be enlightening us on healthy diet for children.
Nutritionist: Thank you.
Interviewer: Our parents want to know how to encourage and attract children to healthy nutritious diet from the junk food trap?
Nutritionist: Well, children’s love for junk food is not children’s fault, parents are responsible for it! They fail to instill in their children the value and taste for healthy diet. When they allow their children to eat junk food, they compromise with their health. They should not allow then to eat junk food in the first place.
Interviewer: How important is healthy diet for children? And what is a healthy diet?
Nutritionist: Healthy diet is very important for children. Any lack or imbalance in the diet may pose serious health complications in children. A healthy diet is a diet that has all the required amount of vitamins, minerals, protein, etc. in it. Usually seasonal vegetables, fruits, nuts, milk, water have all the nutrients needed by children’s bodies. So parents, must encourage an insist on the children to eat all the seasonal vegetables, fruit, lentils, milk, etc.
