Volume of water in the cone is 357.13 cm^3

Step-by-step explanation:

Height of cone = 15 cm

Radius of cone = 4 cm

This cone contains  water to a depth of 10 cm.

So, The shape formed till the depth of water is frustum

So, It forms similar triangles .

ratio of height to depth = 15:10

Let the smaller radius be r

So, Ratio of radii = 4:r

By property of similar triangles : Similar triangles are in the same ratio as the ratio of the length of their sides

So,. 15:10=4:r

So, r = 2.7

So, Smaller radius = 2.7 cm

Volume of frustum = \frac{\pi}{3}h(R^2+r^2+Rr)

h = 10 cm

R = 4 cm

r = 2.7 cm

So, volume of water in the cone = \frac{\frac{22}{7}}{3}(10)(4^2+2.7^2+(4)(2.7))

Volume of water in the cone=357.13 cm^3
