Step-by-step explanation:

Area of sheet = Surface area of the tank

⇒ Length of the sheet × its width = Area of 4 walls of the tank + Area of its base

⇒ Length of the sheet × 2.5m =2(20+12)×8m

2

+20×12m

2

⇒ Length of the sheet =300.8 m

And, cost of the sheet =300.8×12.50=3,760

Answer:

RS. 12750

Step-by-step explanation:

hope it helps u

length = 20 m.

Breadth = 10 m

height= 8 m.

Surface Area of the tank = 2[ bh + hl]  + lb

= 2[10×8+8×20] + 10*20

= 2×240 + 200 m^2

=680m^2

Area of the rectangular iron sheet = 680m^2

so that length × breadth = 680m^2

given breadth= 4 m

∴ length = 680 / 4 = 170 m .

Given that cost of iron, the sheet used at the rate of Rs 75 per metre.

The total cost of the sheet = Rs. (170 × 75) = Rs. 12750.
