mass=40 kg
height= 5m
g= 10ms^-2
P.E= mgh
=>40×5×10
=>2000 J
Now, if the object is halfway down,
Kinetic energy= P.E/2
=>2000/2= 1000J
assumption:- g=10 ms^-2
