An object 5.0 cm in length is placed at a distance of 20 cm in front of a convex mirror of radius of curvature 30 cm .find the position of image ,its nature and size

height of object=5cm

f=15 cm

u=-20cm

therefore,

1/v=1/f-1/u

=1/15+1/20

=7/60

so v =60/7

therefore height of image=60/7/20=3/7

so the image is virtual,erect and smaller in size by 3/7th of its original size
