Given,

  • An Object Dropped from a cliff falls with a Constant Acceleration of 10m/s².
  • Time is  2 Seconds.
  • Initial Velocity is 0.

To Find,

  • Final Velocity of Object

Solution :

\longrightarrowWe Know First Equation of Motion  :

\bigstar \large{\boxed{\sf{v = u + at}}}

Here,

  • v - Final Velocity
  • u - Initial Velocity
  • a - Acceleration
  • t - Time

Now Put the Value in this Equation :

\longmapsto \sf{v = u + at}

\longmapsto \sf{v = 0 + (10) \times 2}

\longmapsto \boxed{\sf{v = 20\:m/s}}

Therefore,

\implies After 2 Second , Object Velocity will be 20m/s.

\sf{\underline{Answer\::}}

The object's speed after time period of 2 second would be 20 m/s.

\sf{\underline{Explanation\::}}

An object of certain mass is dropped from a certain height from a cliff with a constant acceleration of 10m/, this actually says that the object falls with no change in it's acceleration during the fall.

What would the speed of the object be after 2 seconds from the time it was dropped?

We have the three equations of motion to make things simpler.

  1. v = u + at
  2. s = ut + ½at²
  3. = + 2as

Now just choose the suitable one based on the data and relax xD

Here we can use the 1st one.

=> \sf{v=u+at}

=> \sf{v=0+10(2)}

=> \sf{v=0+20}

=> \sf{v=20}

So,we see that the speed the object would be travelling with after 2 second is 20 m/s.

PS : Never throw object especially when you are at your sweet home because mom may throw you then xD

Peace! :)
