An object has a speed/velocity of 25 km/h. Suddenly it deviates to the left but maintains the same speed/velocity. Was any force involved in this situation or not? Explain it with a suitable reason.

  • i think yes, because, force is said to be involved whenever there is an acceleration.
  • acceleration means the Change in velocity with respect to time.
  • since velocity is a vector quantity, it is said to be changed when there is a change in magnitude or direction
  • in the given situation, there is no change in magnitude, but still it's direction has changed, so there will be an acceleration and hence force too...
