an object has moved through a distance.can it have zero displacement ? if yes ,support your answer with an example.​

yes first you should now that distance is scaler quantity and displacement is vector

displacement depend on direction and magnitude both .

distance can never be 0

but displacement can be 0

consider the following :-

if an object move distance say d

and come back to its initial position

then distance travelled =2d

but displacement will =0

becouse initial and final position coincide.

remember displacement is shortest distance between two point
