(1) When it completes half the circle :-

✒ Distance = Circumference of semi-circle
→ 1/2×2πr
→ πr

✒ Displacement = Shortest distance
→ Straight path
→ r+r
→2r
→ Diameter of circle

(2) When it completes one full circle :-

✒ Distance = Circumference of circle
→ 2πr

✒ Displacement = 0 , as it comes to the same position from which started

→Displacement is the actual length gap between starting and ending points.

→Distance travelled is the actual length which is travelled by the body.

(i)→Displacement= 2 R
→Distance travelled= ♫R

(ii)→Displacement=0
→Distance travelled= 2♫R

Hope it was easy for you
