distance here will be the circumference of the circle..i.e. 22m but displacement will be zero..as the object has completed one cycle.that means it's initial and final position are same due to which , displacement is zero

The distance travelled by an object is “moving in a circular path of radius 3.5 m”, if it completes one full cycle is calculated as 22 m.

Solution:

Given: An object moves in circular path of radius 3.5 m.

To find: Displacement and distance travelled by objects.

Formula to be used: Circumference = 2 \pi r

As the “initial and final position” of object is same, the displacement is 0.

To find the distance travelled by the object, we have to the find the circumference of circular path.

Circumference = 2 \pi r=2 \times \frac{22}{7} \times 3.5=22 \mathrm{m}
