MASS (M) IS MOVING WITH CONSTANT VELOCITY (V),

SO, THE KINETIC ENERGY OF AN OBJECT = 1/2 MV2

TO BRING THE OBJECT TO REST, THE AMOUNT OF WORK SHOULD BE DONE IS EQUAL TO ITS KINETIC ENERGY, I.E.  1/2 MV2
