Explanation:

u= -0.06m= 60cm, f= 0.10m = 10cm

We know, 1/f= 1/v - 1/u

1/10 = 1/v - 1/60 = 1/v= 1/60 + 1/10 = 1+6/60 = 7/60

therefore, v= 70/6= 11.67 cm

thus, image is formed 11.67 cm behind the lens.

m= v/u= 11.67/-60= -0.19

Answer:

We know from lens formula f1=v1−u1 where f=focal length=0.10m=10cm,

u= object distance=−0.06m=−6cm and v=image distance

Thus putting the above values in the equation we get,

v1=f1−u1=101−61=303−5=30−2v=2−30=−15cm
