Answer:

The image will be formed at a distance of 22.5 cm from

the mirror.

Nature of image: Real, inverted

Explanation:

Since it is given that the mirror is converging, thus it is a concave mirror

Radius of curvature = 30 cm

Focal length = R/2

= 30/2

= 15 cm

_________________________

In a concave mirror, we have

→ u = -45 cm

→ f = -15 cm

According to mirror formula :

1/v=1/u=1/f

▪︎ 1/v=1/f-1/u

▪︎ 1/v = (1/-15) - (1/-45)

▪︎ 1/v =(-1/15) - (-1/45)

▪︎1/v=-2/45

▪︎45 =-2v

▪︎v=45/-2

▪︎v=-22.5 cm

[Here, -ve sign indicates that the image is formed in front of the mirror.]
